Wednesday Night Lenten Series
This year’s Wednesday Lenten series plugs into our parish-wide Year of the Bible by providing small group Bible studies. This prepares parishioners for the Sunday services primed with reflections on ways the week’s gospel reading speaks into their lives. You can participate in some or all of the following Lenten activities:
- 5:30 p.m. Stations of the Cross will be prayed in the church. (Booklets are available in the Narthex for use at any time.)
- 6:00+ Soup and Salad Supper in the Ladehoff room. (sign-ups for food available)
- 6:45 Bible Study: Trained facilitators will lead small groups of 5-6 in a study of the upcoming Sunday’s Gospel reading. After a half hour, everyone will gather to share reflections and hear some historical/critical scholarship about the passage.
Confession times during Lent are available by calling Fr. Robert or Mtr. Heather
To have fun while learning more about saints this season, you can cast your vote for one of two saints featured on each day. Starting with 32 saints in all, the Golden Halo will go to the saint who survives to the final vote. Check it out: http://www.lentmadness.org/
Sunday Adult Forums
Each Sunday from 11:30-12:15 in the Bishop Ladehoff Room, various clergy and lay leaders review the scriptures that were featured in the previous week’s Year of the Bible Challenge readings. Whether or not you are participating in the challenge, join us for a lively discussion of people, events, and teachings from the Word of God.
